Hm... am I making the right move?

A girl that i've taken a liking for appears to have recently left a committed relationship and is now single. While I was initially pleased to hear this, I can tell she is greatly heartbroken... my question is, if I were to say to her something along the lines of "I can tell you're sad, and just know that i'm sorry/I hope everything unfolds positively for you," would she deem me as intrusive (or even worse, creepy)?
